Cheryl and Bryan's September Wedding

Sunday, January 31, 2016

My lovely cousin Cheryl and her husband Bryan got married in early September 2015 at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa in early September 2015 and it was SO beautiful and so much fun. Cheryl was absolutely gorgeous and she styled her wedding perfectly. The ceremony was so thoughtful and full of love and the reception was quite the party. Something different that they did was instead of having a traditional cake, they had one small cake on each table. The couple who had been married the longest, got to cut the cake at the table. Andy and I were the longest married couple at our table(2 years and 8 months) so we got to cut the cake!

It was so much fun spending time with family who I haven't seen in while. I am so glad we were able to go.

A Day in Julian, CA

Saturday, January 30, 2016

Andy is obsessed with wolves and he got a membership to the California Wolf Center for his birthday last year but we didn't get around to visiting  the Wolf Center until September! The Wolf Center is located in a cute little town called Julian which is about an hour away from San Deigo. We discovered that Julian is known for its apples and apple pie so after we visited the wolves, we got lunch, explored Julian for a bit and treated ourselves to some apple pie at the Julian Pie Company. Seriously, I think it was the best apple pie I have ever tasted.

Birthday Wienie Roast

Saturday, May 16, 2015

May 7th was my birthday, so last minute I invited some friends over on Saturday to celebrate by roasting wienies. Melanie made a super delicious cookies and cream cake for me which we didn't get a picture of and I am super sad about that...but it will forever be in my mind and heart...and for a short while, it was in my stomach. My long time friend Anna and her husband Andrew who live in Bakersfield were able to come because they happened to be in LA for the day shopping for fabric for their Halloween costumes(yes, they go all out). That was a nice surprise. :)

It was a gloomy day most of the day but right at 5:30 when the roast started, the clouds parted and we got some sun. It was a lovely time.
